I have been practicing massage therapy, herbalism, and energy work for 12 years in Olympia, Washington. I offer deep tissue massage, using a combination of myofascial release, stretching, cupping and acupressure and I incorporate homegrown herbal oils into my sessions. I love to use Arnica for strains and sprains, Cottonwood for general inflammation, St. johns wort fore nerve pain, and Wood Bettony for chronic pain conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia, among many other plants.

I am also a practicing astrologer and apprentice of Maeanna Welti and Rosie Finn, both beloved astrologers to me and as well as my home and community in the pacific northwest. You can read about my approach to astrology in the Moon House Astrology page!

As a queer identifying, multi-disciplinary health care worker in my LGBTQ2SIA+ community, my practice strives to provide a supportive space to all genders, especially those under represented by the binary gender system. I am always open to and appreciative of feedback about how I can do a better job to create safe, positive and affirming space.

I received my training at the Port Townsend School of Massage 450 weekend professional licensing program in 2011. I also have a BA from The Evergreen State College in Ethnobotany, Herbology and Plant Ecology.  I apprenticed for a cumulative 4 years with Joyce Netishen (herbalist and mentor of Plant Spirit Herbalism/The Five Elements) and Elise Krohn (Wild Foods and Medicines Educator) who co-taught our program with herbalist and Squaxin tribal member Elizabeth Campbell .  I started my massage therapy practice in Olympia with an incredible group of experienced practitioners at The Massage Place Collective in 2012 and am still working there today Other wonderful teachers include Zel Amanzi of Transgressive Medicine and Marika Clymer of The Energetic Ecologist, who taught me Reiki energy healing in Zel’s practitioner training program in 2021.

I am dedicated to my massage practice as well as to community herbalism, herbal medicine and land access mutual aid work with and for BIPOC organizations, herbal healthcare accessibility and herbal education. I opened a collectively run herbal medicine garden in Olympia in 2013 called Roseroot Herb Farm with a mission to grow local plant medicine as a community resource. The plants grown on the land provided medicine for the Free Herbal Clinic in Olympia, WA, various community gardens, the Thurston County Food Bank school educational gardens, and a number of Indigenous led school gardens. I currently steward medicinal plants in my garden on Olympia’s west side and make the oils I use in my practice, as well as tinctures, syrups, teas, and salves that I offer on a small scale to clients, friends, family and community. I believe that plants are people, thus having a connection with them in our daily lives helps us to be in community with each other in a whole and rooted way.
